Obituary for Edwin Gordon Cox
Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Monday, January 16, 2023, at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth 'Ella' (Haley) Cox.
Loving father of Debbie Holden (Late Gary Holden), John Cox (Marianne), and Steve Cox. Predeceased by his adored daughter, Mary Pressley (Mike). Dear Gramps to Cara, Kristen, Jason, Shawn, Amy, Jessica, Kyle, Brandon and Summer.
Cherished Great Gramps to Bria, Rylie, Ava and Emerson.
He was predeceased by his parents Sydney and Jean (nee Spalding), by his brothers George, Dan (Sybil), Ken (Betty), by his sisters Winnifred (Henry), Mary (Steve), by his sisters-in-law, Jenny Carr (Doug), Janie Botham, Irene Boulton and Mary Lombard, and by his brothers-in-law, Jim Haley, and Ken Carr.
Survived by brothers in law Bill Haley (Sue), Don Boulton and Murray Botham, by sisters in law Betty Haley, Alice Carr and by several nieces and nephews. As a family, we remember Ed's love of pets, model cars, painting, music and
camping. He was very talented in playing his harmonica and accordion.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 25, 2023 at The Grist Mill (Upstairs) 123 Water Street Brockville, Ontario from 2pm - 5pm.
Donations to the Leeds & Grenville Branch of the OSPCA would be greatly appreciated.
